How can long term protection be achieved without pesticides?

This new Swedish technique is entirely based on electrical charges.

Bacteria, viruses, staphylococci and all microorganisms are negatively charged.

Surface growths such as fungi, moss, lichens, algae, black spots and blueing are also negatively charged.

This means that microorganisms and surface growth cannot grow on a positively charged surface.
But if the surface is so covered in dirt that the charge cannot reach through, then surface growth can thrive on the dirt.
